Asked to run a scan?
No stress. Here's what the program does, what it never touches, and how to see your own case.
What happens
You get a link
Your server's staff send it, or the game shows it to you. The file's name carries your own code, like glimmer-SAMPLE-00000.exe (a sample, not a real code).
You run it once
It checks your PC, then closes by itself. Nothing stays behind.
Your staff get a short report
It lists what the scan found, and what it couldn't check. It never holds your files.
Is it safe?
Signed, so you know it's real
Windows shows the publisher as LUNARWERX LLC. If it shows anything else, don't run it.
Your files stay on your PC
Files and memory are read on your PC, then dropped. Only a list of findings goes out.
Nothing gets installed
No driver, no service, nothing left running. It closes when it's done.
One code, one scan
Your code works once. After that, it's used up.
Where it looks
It looks where cheats like to hide: your Downloads folder, the game's own files, and the places cheats install to. It also reads Windows' own records of what has run, and your drivers and services. And it reads the web names your PC looked up lately, and the game's memory while the game runs.
It also reads:
- The commands typed in PowerShell on your Windows account.
- How Windows is set up: for example, if Secure Boot is on, or if the PC is a virtual one.
- Windows' log of the devices and drivers put on your PC, and when.
- Your drives: what kind each one is, and when it was last wiped.
- Which open windows are set to hide from screen recording, and if they sit over the game. Never a window's title, and never a picture of it.
It's all read on your PC, then dropped. A finding says where it was found, like a file's path, and a path can hold your Windows user name.
A scan takes a couple of minutes.
If Windows asks for permission
What your staff see
Each finding by name, the rule behind it, and how serious it is. They also see what was checked and what couldn't be. They don't get your files.
If it finds something
- Your server's staff decide what happens. Glimmer bans nobody.
- Some findings are only there to inform staff. They're not saying you cheated.
- You can appeal from your case, below.
See your own case, and appeal
Your staff give you an access key. Open your case, type in the key, and you'll see the same case they do.
Think it's wrong? Appeal right there. It's free, and your server's staff decide, not Glimmer.
